Rechargeable Battery & Cell Phone Recycling Program
Rechargeable batteries and cell phones are mission-critical for today's business. Nickel Cadium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), and Small (less than 2 lbs.) Sealed Lead (Pb) rechargeable batteries are commonly found in cell phones, laptops, PDAs, bar code readers, portable printers, two-way radios, cordless phones and power tools. But what happens when those rechargeable batteries that can no longer hold a charge or it's time to replace that old cell phone? Recycle them!
Recycling is the law. Existing environmental regulations require businesses to properly manage disposal of some types of used portable rechargeable batteries. Walker Systems Support has joined the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Cooperation's (RBRC's) national program called Call2Recycle to offer a convenient, cost-efficient recycling solution.
Walker Systems Support and other businesses nationwide are working in cooperation with the RBRC, a nonprofit public service organization that operates the Call2Recycle program. By participating in the RBRC Program, we are helping to conserve the earth's natural resources and to prevent rechargeable batteries and cell phones from entering the country's landfills.
