In her new board role, Kate brings over 25 years of experience in working with firms statewide to improve how they leverage their IT investments for competitive advantage. On Tuesday, August 9th, a group of dedicated Walker employees headed out to the Meriden Humane Society to help build the outdoor dog kennels that Walker and their business partners arranged to have donated back in January of this year.
This group of animal lovers included; Todd Columb, Dave Fluckiger, Diana Sutcliffe, Quinn Kizis, Carl Fazzina, Steve Burch and Melanie Jordan, who heads Walker's community outreach for animals. "We had a non-stop, grueling but fun day out in the heat!" stated Melanie who spearheaded this project. "We built 9 kennels which were proudly displayed at the 118th birthday celebration of the Society held on Saturday August 13th. It was truly awesome to see so many rescue organizations in attendance at the birthday bash - they work so hard to find these animals their forever homes." This Kennel Rasing event is the final chapter of a bigger story featured earlier on our website. Walker is proud to have been part of this project to make a difference in the lives of many animals.
