About Us

Human Resource Manager

Walker Systems Support provides proactive network management and computer support services including remote and on-site maintenance, security, connectivity, interactive design and web development, strategic IT planning, disaster recovery solutions, virtualization and cloud services. The Walker Team is equipped to assist in protecting, upgrading and maintaining IT environments along with promoting business objectives.    

Responsibilities:

  • Manage open enrollment process by working with benefits broker to schedule employee meetings and ensuring timely completion of enrollment forms
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and insurance companies to answer questions throughout the enrollment period and beyond
  • Facilitate 401k program by serving as a liaison between employees and Financial Advisor and Third Party Administrator
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding process including development and delivery of offer packages; conducting new hire orientations; completing necessary paperwork and systems entries and maintaining personnel files
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Annual Review Process
  • Administer Orientation Training for all new hires
  • Track all time off requests and provide quarterly reports to Management
  • Attend monthly Management Meetings to provide HR updates
  • Respond to employee relations issues as necessary
  • Work closely with Group Managers to assist with counseling and providing ongoing, constructive feedback to their staff. This helps to foster an environment where there is a realization for the need for continuous improvement
  • Work closely with Director of Finance on issues related to payroll, 401k, benefits, unpaid time off, annual employee Census and projects throughout the year
  • Any other administrative and employee service support as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in handling and resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor laws, standards and employment legal climate
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Highly proficient/excellent MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, internet and related computer skills
  • Must be highly confidential, professional, articulate , customer-friendly and effectively manage multiple tasks
  • This is part-time position (24 hours/week)
