Artistic Director

Walker Systems Support provides proactive network management and computer support services including remote and on-site maintenance, security, connectivity, interactive design and web development, strategic IT planning, disaster recovery solutions, virtualization and cloud services. The Walker Team is equipped to assist in protecting, upgrading and maintaining IT environments along with promoting business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of concept, design, direction and execution of interactive projects including web design and web development
• Ensure consistent high quality results for our clients and exhibit brand awareness and a comprehensive artistic approach
• Design using existing brand guidelines and CI style guides
• Demonstrate visual vocabulary (layout, typography, design)
• Manage designers and freelancers on projects
• Manage image optimization
• Understand principles of interface architecture
• Select illustration and photographic styles
• Make articulate, sensitive editing choices
• Set a consistent look-and-feel throughout entire project

Qualifications:

• Online portfolio
• 5-7 years online design experience, offline experience a plus
• Deep understanding of the creative process from strategy to execution
• Demonstrated design skills including page layouts and information design
• Ability to bring strategic concepts through execution of interactive experiences
• Familiar with HTML and the constraints involved in producing graphics for the web and other interactive media
• Interest and ability to learn new technologies and use them in projects
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills

Education:

• Bachelors of Fine Art a plus
